The secret mistress
This is the prequel to the other two Mistress books.
Angeline and Heyward's story. Lady Angeline Dudley, aged 19, is about to make her come-out in London. She hopes to find a quiet, staid husband quite unlike her father or her brothers. When a stranger comes quietly but firmly to her rescue as a rake accosts her at an inn, she falls promptly in love with him. He, however, does not share her ardor even when he discovers that she is the bride his family has picked out for him.

This is a slim volume to bind together the two books More Than a Mistress and No Man's Mistress, which are to be republished together in May, 2011, with the new prequel, The Secret Mistress, which is to be published in hardcover in the middle of July.
Now a Bride is not a complete story in itself. Rather, it expands on the first two books with a few added episodes and then offers a series epilogue that brings all three books and sets of characters together one more time at the end.
