I am frequently asked if it has been a difficult proposition, being a butler extraordinaire. But I find that the most severe, the most powerful, even the most rakish master has a heart—and therein lies his salvation. And mine.
My name is Reeves, and I am a butler on a mission, sent by my now deceased employer to reclaim for the ton one of its finest members, a long-lost son who has gone without the civilizing effects money and position can provide.
I shall have to use all of my considerable persuasive powers, all of my most stealthy tricks, and perhaps even the unwitting assistance of a particularly lovely tutor, to civilize what may be the wildest member of the ton yet. Whimsical as it may be, I truly believe love can conquer even the most stubborn of hearts.
Fortunately, for all concerned, I relish a challenge, especially one of a romantic nature. As my late employer used to say, “If you want the impossible done, just ask Reeves.”
