I run outside to greet the day
Up at dawn's first light
Will my vision appear
from my dreams in the night

Searching out the morning's invitation
to start anew
Looking in every ray of sun
Is there somewhere my dream
came true

My heart seeks to find
Tell me old oak tree
In the wisdom of all your years
Will my dream come to me

I listen to the whispers
in the morning breezes
"Be patient"
is all they say,
"Your dream will come true
someday"

You come to me in the night
But, that is only in my mind
It is you I'm looking for
It is you that I want to find

And then one day I will hear
whispers in the morning
"Hurry" they will call to me
"Your dream has come true"
When I run outside
to welcome the new day
I will find you
